Report for the 49th Japan Club of Guam Charity Golf Tournament

6月7日(日)、第49回日本人会チャリティーゴルフ大会が、レオパレスリゾートカントリークラブ（ハイビスカスコース＆オーキッドコース）にて開催されました。コースから広がる青空と素晴らしい景観の中で、ゴルフを存分に楽しんでいただけたのではと存じます。

今回チャリティゴルフ大会への参加者は前回より約3割減の48名に留まりましたが、バナー協賛13社（前回14社）、寄付金1社（前回1社）、協賛賞品20社（前回20社）は前回とほぼ同水準となりました。ご支援くださりました多くのスポンサーさまに、この場をお借りしてあらためて御礼申し上げます。
今回もまた、グアム日本人会チャリティゴルフ大会の長い歴史に刻めましたのも、皆さまのご理解やご支援があっての賜物かと存じます。

On Sunday, June 7, the 49th Japan Club of Guam (herein after JCG) Charity Golf Tournament was held at Leopalace Resort Country Club (Hibiscus & Orchid Course). We hope you were able to fully enjoy your round of golf amidst the blue skies and splendid scenery that stretch out from the course.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the 48participants, as well as the sponsors who provided banner sponsorship (13 companies), donations (1 company), and sponsorship prizes (20 companies). We believe that the success of the 49th JCG Charity Golf Tournament, which has now been etched into its long history, is a testament to the understanding and support of all of you.

表彰式では、個人戦、チーム戦の他、ベストグロス賞、ニアピン賞などが用意され、大いに盛り上がりました。
チーム賞はTeam GPOが2連覇で優勝を飾りました。個人戦、団体戦の上位入賞者は下記のとおりとなります。

The award ceremony warmed up very much, with individual and team competitions, as well as awards for best gross score and the closest to the pin. In the team competition, Team GPO secured its second consecutive victory, defending its title from last year. The top 3 winners in the individual and team competitions are listed below.

ラッフルでは、ラグジュアリーホテル宿泊券、ビュッフェ券やレストランからの食事券他、スポンサーさまからご提供いただいた豪華賞品が多数用意されていたこともあり、$10ドル/口のチケットを多くの方にご寄付いただきました。豪華賞品のくじが発表されるたびに、歓声や拍手が沸き起こり、大いに盛り上がりました。皆さんにご寄付いただいたラッフル総額は$1,620にのぼりました。

At the raffle, many participants donated so much for raised tickets, as there were many luxurious prizes provided by sponsors. Every time the winners of the luxurious prizes were announced, there was a great deal of excitement with cheers and applause. The raffle raised a total of $1,620.

このラッフル寄付金に大会参加費とバナー協賛金等を合算した後、プレイフィーとビュッフェ代、バナー制作費等諸経費を控除いたしますと、差分は$7,974となりました。諸経費を除いた 金額のうち$7,000 を グアム国際日本人学校（JIAG）へ寄付いたします。

After adding the raffle donations to the tournament participation fees and banner sponsorship fees, and then deducting the play fees and buffet costs, and other miscellaneous costs like banner production cost, the remaining amount is $7,974. Of the net proceeds after expenses, $7,000 will be donated to the Japanese International Academy of Guam (JIAG).

グアム国際日本人学校は体育館ローンの返済と生徒数の減少により依然、厳しい財政状態にあります。皆さまからいただきました温かいご支援を無駄にすることなく、健やかに学ぶ子供たちのために有意義に活用いたしてまいりたいと思います。 今回ご参加いただきました皆さま、バナー協賛、協賛賞品等をご提供いただいたスポンサーの皆さまに重ね重ね厚く御礼申し上げます。

JIAG remains in a difficult financial situation due to the repayment of its gymnasium loan and a decline in student numbers. We would like to make good use of the warm support we have received from everyone for the sake of the JIAG students who are studying here. We hope that you will continue to support JIAG for many years to come.
